College Survival is an interactive and educational one day session offered to Lafayette Junior Leadership participants. Lafayette Junior Leadership is a partnership of participating schools, local businesses, leadership development organizations, the Lafayette Parish School Board, and charitable foundations and individuals. The program prepares high school junior and seniors for college life.
Woman’s Foundation provides one session to the participants. The one day session includes topics such as resume writing, internships, job interviews, and how to choose a career. There are also discussions on personal safety, transitioning to college life, and involves the presentation of “Sex, Truth, and Consequences”. The “Sex, Truth, and Consequences” program is part of the Foundation’s puberty program.
