Did you fight the crowds of Black Friday? Or did you wait for Cyber Monday for that once a year deal on a new 55″ TV? It seems to me that as of lately, the Black Friday fiasco is beginning to take place earlier and earlier every year. This year, places welcomed their shoppers as early as Thanksgiving evening for their doorbuster deals. Many retailers are also extending their Cyber Monday deals for the entire week.
Though many people don’t realize that in the midst of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping craze, there is Giving Tuesday – a global effort that occurs on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
Acadiana is doing something new this Giving Tuesday and we’d love for you to be apart of it! Woman’s Foundation has joined LANO and many other nonprofits in the area for the very first #GiveAcadiana initiative. This 24-hour event is a community-wide campaign that encourages people to support nonprofits, that dedicate their entire work to improve the total well-being of the community. This is the perfect opportunity to give back and join us in promoting the total well-being of women and their families.
Giving is easy! Schedule your donations ahead of time or you can donate on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at https://www.giveacadiana.org/womansfoundation.
