Amy Broussard is a Lafayette native with 17 years of business experience. She has significant experience in marketing and business development in both the telecommunications and healthcare industries. Amy is currently the Executive Director for Woman’s Foundation, a local non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the total well-being of women and their families. She helps each division of the foundation achieve their department goals while maintaining a healthy relationship with a 30-member Board of Directors. As the executive director, she also works closely with committees to maintain Woman’s Foundation’s finances and investments, issue grants to help fund other community programs that are in line with the foundation’s mission and award scholarships to local nursing students who meet certain criteria.
Prior to Woman’s Foundation, Amy was the Sales and Marketing Analyst for LUS Fiber where she handled internal and external communications for a new company in a highly competitive market. This included properly informing employees of the reasoning behind any product changes and assisting them in communicating to customers as well as developing marketing messages to the customer to inform them of upcoming opportunities and other important notices. In that role, she also managed the brand of a local company with national recognition and worked to maintain the company’s positive image in the community and across the country.
She is a member of the Junior League of Lafayette, OneAcadiana, and the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations. She is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Leadership Lafayette – Class XXVIII. In her spare time, Amy is an avid long-distance runner, enjoys test driving new pastry recipes, and loves listening to true crime podcasts.

My name is Rachel Martin, I am a Health and Wellness professional passionate about educating the public on better health choices, overall. I have been with Woman’s Foundation since January of 2014 and I am currently the Director of Community Education. I manage the networking and partnerships with various organizations around Lafayette to provide educational programs to their specific populations. I manage two part-time employees, UL Lafayette interns from multiple majors and many volunteers. I also manage the CED financials and work within the budget.
I am passionate about working with children and shaping them into the healthy adults they want to become. I am a graduate of Acadiana High school & the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Promotion and Wellness. I remain active in the community through my involvement with the 705, One Acadiana as a member and an Ambassador, the Youngsville Chamber of Commerce, Healthy Acadiana and Healthy St. Landry. I am on the board of directors for Faith house and was just accepted to Leadership Lafayette class XXXIV.
I love to travel and be outdoors. Exploring new places and culture is a passion of mine. I love to rough it and sleep on the hard ground under the stars, but I also don’t mind the occasional fancy hotel. I love to hunt and fish, hike, and I absolutely love the beach. In my spare time I am usually playing volleyball as much as I can. I have been playing volleyball for about 18 years. The only time off I take is a few weeks in the winter when it is too cold to play in the sand. I am a travel volleyball club coach for the Sunsetters, age 13u. When I am not playing volleyball or coaching you can find me at home with my crazy cats Luna & Feeny and golden doodle, Graham.

My name is Maddie Cassedy. I was born and raised in Crowley, LA. I have a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Health and Wellness Promotion. I have been with Woman’s Foundation for 2 years where I coordinate many of our programs including our Puberty series, Safe Sitter, Safe@Home, and Truth, Facts, and Lies. I am passionate about educating students on their own body as well as making smarter, healthier choices in their daily lives. In my spare time I love to cook, paint, or hang out with my purrfect cats, Milo and Pino!
Terri Roberts – Community Education Coordinator

Terri is from Lafayette, LA. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Promotion and Wellness from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Wellness with a concentration in Fitness and Performance from Liberty University in Virginia. Terri is our Community Education Coordinator for the Kids on the Geaux and Safe Sitter programs. She will be the coordinator and Lifestyle Coach for the upcoming Adult Diabetes Prevention Program.
Promoting health and total well-being to anyone and everyone around her is Terri’s forte! She has a passion for health and fitness and displays it by promoting healthy living and volunteering in the community. She is the program developer and instructor for the Templed Bodies exercise and wellness program at Good Hope Baptist Church here in Lafayette. She teaches the class twice a week. She is a member of the Northside Community Health and Wellness Group in which they serve as a hub that educates the community on local health services and care, distributes free resources such as personal protective equipment, food, diapers, household cleaning products, etc., provides awareness and education of health issues, and how to live a healthy life through consuming healthy foods and incorporating more physical activity. Terri has partnered with several other non-profits such as Seasons the Green Leaf, The Burrell Foundation and Quiet Town Community Coterie to continue to spread awareness and distribute these resources to those in need. She serves as a member of the Lafayette Consolidated Government Health Equity Task Force. She is a member of its Health and Wellness Work Group and serves on the Education, Awareness and Training Sub-Committee where she partners with other local non-profits and organizations to develop strategies to improve health disparities and underlying health conditions within the community by promoting and disseminating health education. Terri is altruistic and is an avid volunteer with United Way of Acadiana. Any time there is a community need, she jumps on the opportunity to serve. Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, she has made herself available twice a week to help repackage and deliver food to children and families across Acadiana.
When Terri is not spending her time volunteering or working in the community, she enjoys spending her time being a wife and mother. She and her husband have 2 beautiful daughters and a Baby Roberts on the way. She is the mom of 4 energetic canines, a Toy Poodle-Chihuahua and 3 German Shepherds. Terri loves completing jigsaw, crossword, and Sudoku puzzles, and making DIY crafts. She enjoys playing family board and card games. She is an All-Natural Pro Figure competitor and competes twice a year in competitions. She is a Vegan but Pescatarian 2 times a week as she cannot give up the Louisiana seafood! She loves going on 1-hour long runs while listening to her eclectic collection of music ranging from gospel to R&B to pop-rock to hip hop and movie soundtracks. She is a member of GHBC’s Mass Choir, Praise Team, Empowerment Hour’s Couple’s Class, core member for the Women of Hope Ministry. Terri believes to be truly healthy we must have a healthy spirit, mind, and body. She likes to meditate to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Do you not know that your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, you are not your own; you were bought with a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

Ashley Thibodeaux is the Director of CME at Woman’s Foundation. She is the go-to for anything related to medical education. She works closely with many joint partners and the Foundation’s CME Committee to provide continuing education credits to attendees. Ashley enjoys planning and organizing full conferences and likes to be creative in finding new ways to enhance the learner’s experience. As part of her duties, Ashley is responsible for maintaining the Foundation’s accreditation status with the Louisiana State Medical Society following all ACCME guidelines as well as exploring opportunities for accreditation for other healthcare related professions.
Ashley has ten years of experience in medical conference management. She worked previously for a company that managed national conferences for hospitals and institutions such as Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles, CA, The American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair in Chicago, IL, and others. During her career, she has held various roles such as faculty coordinator, budget manager, and project manager. She has in-depth experience in all areas of medical conference management. In her career, she has managed faculty relationships for multiple medical conferences, acted as a liaison between conference faculty and staff, managed faculty invitations, and maintained good communications with all faculty for multiple conferences. She has also managed a $5 million budget for multiple medical education conferences, performed weekly revenue analysis, prepared monthly and annual financial reports, and coordinated with conference chairmen to create agendas and plan the conferences.
Ashley has called Lafayette, LA home for over 28 years. She is a proud graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, earning an Accounting degree in 2010 with honors. During college she participated in the British Studies Program at the University of Southern Mississippi and traveled to London, England during a summer semester. She enjoys traveling to different parts of the world to soak up different cultures and see the sites. When not traveling, she enjoys being at home with her husband and their two dogs, Hank (a black lab) and Vik (a Belgian Malinois). She enjoys being at the gym, attempting to eat healthy, target shooting, and eating sprinkled donuts.
Janey Matt – Continuing Medical Education Coordinator

Janey Bares Matt is the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Coordinator at Woman’s Foundation and the most recent addition to the WFI Team. She is a native of Erath, Louisiana and a 2013 graduate of Erath High School. Janey graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in May 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child and Family Studies with a minor in English. During her time at UL, she was an active member of the Alpha Mu chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, and she completed an internship at Woman’s Foundation in the Community Education Department. As an intern, Janey fell in love with Woman’s Foundation and its mission, and she was elated to accept a position in the CME Department a few months after her internship was completed.
Janey is the daughter of a Registered Nurse of almost 30 years, so she is very passionate about providing education to local physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Although she is new to the CME Department, Janey is excited to contribute her creativity and organizational skills to the already successful.
In her free time, Janey enjoys crafting projects, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her beautiful niece/goddaughter, Harper. She and her husband Josh have a passion for traveling and have an extensive “bucket list” of dream destinations, but they also love down time at home spending time together and watching Netflix.
Kelsey Guidry – Continuing Medical Education Coordinator

Kelsey is a Baton Rouge native with a background in education. She has taught elementary school and tutored students for eight years. She currently works as an Continuing Medical Education Coordinator where she helps to provide conferences to healthcare workers and other related professions.
While attending Northwestern State University she was part of the rowing club. Here she enjoyed spending time on the water, training with teammates, and traveling the country to compete. She also received a master’s degree with Magna Cum Laude in Environmental Science with a concentration in Fisheries and Wildlife Management.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time in the garden, and getting outdoors to hike, bike, and kayak. She has two dogs, Callie and Murphy, who love to play and be spoiled.
Sally Sabandith Wilson, MBA is the Marketing Manager for Woman’s Foundation, where she is skilled in Social Media Management, Content Creation, Media Relations, Website Management, Strategic Communication, Digital Marketing, and more. With more than 7 years of marketing and strategic communication experience, Sally works to help promote all of the foundation’s services through creative and unique ways, as well as increase attendance at all of our programs. She also assists with the promotion of nursing scholarships and grant opportunities that Woman’s Foundation provides. Sally is a member of One Acadiana, PRAL, the705, Healthy Acadiana Coalition, Women of Wisdom (WOW), and the Communication Council at UL Lafayette Department of Communication. She also volunteers through United Way of Acadiana’s Career Connections and Mass Food Distribution. Sally is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette’s Class XXXIII and was named one of Acadiana’s 20 Under 40 Leaders in 2020.
Born and raised in South Louisiana, Sally is a second-generation Laotian/Chinese American and calls herself a hybrid south Louisiana gal, a Cajun raised Asian. Sally is a proud Ragin Cajun alumna, class of 2014. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. In 2019, she earned her MBA through LSU Shreveport.
Sally is passionate about living a balanced, healthy life and enjoys cooking, playing golf, practicing hot power yoga, binging true crime shows/podcasts, reading, hiking, and snuggling with her fur babies Theo (cat) and Dash (Jack Russell). She enjoys spending quality time with her family and taking road trips with her husband Tim. Two fun facts about Sally are: she has jumped out of an airplane 3 times and shares a birthday with Albert Einstein.
