On this episode, we feature a very personal story from Mick Essex, Senior Marketing Executive at Vantage Health Plan. Mick has been a single father since his son was about 4 years old. He gives us a deep inside scoop of what was his motivators were, how he was able to support his small family, and be the best father he can be with an absent mother in their lives.

Sally Sabandith is the go-to marketing strategist and social media guru at Woman’s Foundation, where she is skilled in Social Media Management, Content Creation, Media Relations, Podcasting, WordPress, Digital Analytics, Press Releases, and Branding. She enjoys expanding her skill set and learning about new and innovative communication strategies. With about four years of marketing and strategic communication experience, Sally works to help promote all of the foundation’s services through creative and unique ways, as well as increase attendance at all of our programs. She also assists with the promotion of nursing scholarship and grant opportunities that Woman’s Foundation provides. Sally remains actively involved in One Acadiana, PRAL, the705, Healthy Acadiana Coalition, Communication Council at UL Lafayette Department of Communication and is a current member of Leadership Lafayette Class XXXIII. She also volunteers through United Way of Acadiana.
Sally is passionate about living a balanced, healthy life and enjoys being in the kitchen, pinning her favorite recipes and future home inspirations, finding the next show to binge watch on Netflix, snuggling with her fur baby Theodore, and spending quality time with her family and fiance Tim. Sally also loves to travel and experience new adventures. Two fun facts about Sally are: she has jumped out of an airplane 3 times and has 2 fewer teeth than your average human.
